A newly-built, self-contained one-bedroom cottage in a spectacular and scenic Gibsons, Sunshine Coast setting

Set in a tranquil grove of tall cedars, Cedar Cottage affords sunny southwesterly views of sparkling Georgia Strait and in the distance, the snow-capped mountains of Vancouver Island. Georgia Strait is part of BC’s magical Inside Passage to Haida Gwaii (the aboriginal name for The Queen Charlotte Islands) and from May through September, the main seaway for a steady procession of Alaska-bound cruise ships. Year-round, it’s a fascinating backdrop for ferries, fishboats and freighters.

Our newly built, self-contained one-bedroom cottage is a short walk from Bonniebrook Beach, where the forest meets the sand and shingle foreshore. Most days, the terraced lawns of Cedar Cottage provide grazing grounds for families of deer, while eagles soar and circle overhead. The cottage is a short walk to cliff paths and the beach and a pleasant five-minute drive or half-hour stroll to the quaint and picturesque fishing village of Gibsons Landing. While close to shopping and urban amenities, the area’s natural seaside beauty is the perfect setting for guests to relax and unwind.

Inside the cottage, guests will enjoy the facilities and comforts of a home away from home — dark pine finish floors; a separate bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed; a spacious, fully-equipped bathroom; a kitchen/dining area and a comfortable sitting area in which to relax after a day exploring the beauties of BC’s Sunshine Coast. While the cottage is ideal for a couple, a comfortable sofa-bed offers accommodation for additional guests.

• Cedar Cottage is new private self-catering accommodation, perfect for a getaway or extended vacation!
• The cottage is a 10-minute drive from The Sunshine Coast’s Langdale ferry terminal, at the end of a sheltered, spectacularly scenic 40-minute cruise from West Vancouver’s fjord-like Horseshoe Bay.
• Only five minutes from your holiday home, Gibsons Landing offers a good selection of cafes, restaurants and boutique shopping facilities, and for the energetic, waterfront strolls and hillside trails.
• For those venturing beyond the Sunshine Coast, Gibsons also offers an ideal stopover point for the spectacularly scenic Circle Tour that embraces virtually all of the Sunshine Coast Peninsula, as well as mid-Vancouver Island.

• $(CA)115 -135 daily for one or two guests, or $(CA)700-850 weekly. (See: ).

• Two-day minimum stay requirement.
• Payment by VISA, MASTERCARD, Cash or Travellers’ Cheques. Credit card details are required at time of booking; 50 per cent of total charges will be processed at time of booking. (See cancellation policy below).
• Cedar Cottage is a non-smoking facility.
• We’re sorry, but we’re unable to accommodate pets.
• Check-in time is from 2 p.m. onwards. Check-out is 11 a.m.

Cancellation Policy: With a minimum of seven (7) days notice of cancellation, the deposit will be refunded, less a $15 administration fee. With less than seven (7) days notice of cancellation, the deposit — less the administration fee — is refundable only if we are able to re-let the accommodation for the period it was originally reserved.
