BC's unique destination resorts

BC’s resorts range from rustic, wilderness or eco-tourism retreats, through activity-driven properties — like sport fishing lodges, guest ranches and marina-based enterprises — to opulent four-season destinations and recreational facilities offering spa treatments, fine dining and five-star service where almost every imaginable amenity is available for the asking.

As well as world-renowned ski resorts, BC has health resorts, marina-based and fly-in resorts and romantic get-away resorts, as well as dozens of specialty properties for kayaking, camping and recreational vehicle touring — and they’re located throughout BC’s heartlands in forests, on spectacular beachfront or island properties, in or near the mountains that dominate the Provincial landscape and sometimes even, in or near the Province’s major cities.

Each one offers a very different, often unique experience. “Rustic elegance in Nature’s edge” — describes one Vancouver Island property, while another says its forest-setting villas” — are carefully designed to take full advantage of the extraordinary geography of BC’s Sunshine Coast.”

Others offer:

  • luxuriously appointed rooms, spectacular views
  • one of the top 10 anchorages in the Western Hemisphere
  • nine acres of majestic land along the ninth fairway.

With 700 or more properties from which to choose, it’s no exaggeration to claim that BC’s resort industry has something for every visitor — whether their preference is for indulgence and luxury or a more modest family or recreational experience.
