Vancouver Timelapse from a Condo in Yaletown

Submitted by Sara Williams on January 4, 2009 – 10:45 pm2 Comments

A resident in Yaletown (a hip, vibrant community in downtown Vancouver near BC Place stadium) shot this great timelapse video using a simple Canon miniDV cam and created the final video using BTV Pro software on his Mac.

I love Yaletown — and if I had the money, I’d buy a one-bedroom loft apartment as an investment. This revitalized Vancouver warehouse district has some of the city’s best restaurants and bars, including the casual Yaletown Brew Pub and Restaurant (great microbrew beer and excellent fish and chips) … Or, if you’re looking for a fine dining and truly West Coast experience, make reservations at the Blue Water Cafe for out-of-this world seafood.

  • Great video!

What model number was the Canon MiniDV you used?

I am planning on updating my video camera and am looking for something that does time lapse.

Was this video taken from The 501?

  • This video was shot by paulngstewart from the Concord Towers at Richards and Pacific Streets in funky Yaletown. I’m not sure what the model number is of the Canon MiniDV.
